The Construction Project – Part 1 of 5

Trees have been cut down, soil has been removed, and over 800 truckloads of sand have been delivered to the Dan Cake construction site in Give. 

We are currently undertaking a major expansion of our facilities, which includes new buildings for production, warehousing, and engineering. The expansion involves 13,450 m² of new construction, and once the project is complete, Dan Cake will have a total floor area of nearly 29,000 m².

The goal is to strengthen our capacity, streamline operations, and ensure the company’s long-term viability.

We're still building!

There are now just under three months to go before our major construction project at Dan Cake is completed—an expansion designed to enhance our production, warehousing, logistics, and technical facilities.

The new buildings will be slightly taller than the existing part of the factory. The primary height is 10 meters, and in fact, part of the project will be built on two levels, reaching a total height of approximately 15 meters.

The expansion of our facilities in Give is a major project being managed by an internal project team in close collaboration with contractors and local partners.

Every week, we monitor progress and the many details involved in the construction project. The new facilities will soon be ready for use—and we’re really looking forward to that.

Dan Cake was founded on the desire to make it easy and convenient for everyone to serve delicious cakes. Even at short notice. Since the beginning, that desire has been a key driver for us - from the original small, local bakery back in 1931 to the large, nationally known company we are today.
