Sponge cake trifle with berries

Ingredients
1 vanilla sponge cake
1.5 dl skyr or yogurt
2 tbsp icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
1.5 dl whipping cream
300 g fresh strawberries
2-3 tbsp sherry (can be omitted)

How to proceed
- Break the sand cake into small pieces
- Mix skyr with icing sugar and vanilla
- Whip the cream to whipped cream and mix it with the skyr
- Cut strawberries into smaller pieces
- Assemble the trifle in serving glasses: Place some sand cake pieces in the bottom and sprinkle with sherry if desired
- Then add strawberries and vanilla cream and continue with sponge cake, strawberries and cream until the glass is almost full
- Place the trifle in the fridge and let it sit for about 3 hours before serving
A great tip!
A trifle can be eaten all year round, not just when strawberries are in season. Make your own combination of fruit based on the season. For example, mix kiwi with mint and lime zest and use as a filling in the trifle.
